Funding Six Community Projects and Fifty Small Businesses and Nonprofits with Twenty-four Million Dollars
The Fund
Purpose of the HCCD Fund
To equitably allocate funds for community development projects and operations in Horry County, South Carolina.
How the $24 Million is Generated
By securing guaranteed group-purchasing contracts from local corporations through the CBN Platforms which allow the CBN network to transfer funds to HCCDF for building, operations, maintenance, and programming.
Timeline for Fund Distribution
1. March 2025 - Distribution of $1,500 to $10,000 to groups with fifty members.
2. July to October 2025 - Allocation of $4 million to each of the six projects.
3. January 2026 - The six projects commence efforts to secure their individual $24 million.
Fund Management (Ensuring Transparency and Good Governance)
An accounting firm and legal team lead the process, with one representative from each funded organization serving on the financial management team overseeing the funds. Each year, six new projects and financial managers are elected to this team. The HCCD Fund does not hold assets or funds greater than $1,000 in accounts; funds are immediately transferred to the HCCDF and then to the project members.
